Production Manager - Llanelli - £30 - 35k

Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Manager to join a well-established, progressive food manufacturer based in Llanelli, South Wales. The company have a growing product base which is supplied throughout the UK. The role is a days’ based position working Monday-Friday.

The Role
The main purpose of the role is to co-ordinate and manage the manufacture of quality products within agreed timescales, defined targets, ensuring the use of resources is used efficiently and effectively.
You will:
• Have responsibility for the day to day production schedule for all manufacturing zones on site.
• Manage, motivate and support a small team of around 20 personnel ensuring continuous improvement is implemented and maintained.
• Ensure all products manufactured meet the company and customers high quality standards.
• Ensure the manufacturing process is used effectively and efficiency.
• Ensure targets are met to meet customer requirements.
• Develop training plans for the production team and identifying where training is required.
• Training junior members of the production team.
• Ensure that all necessary materials and resources are available.
• Hold daily and monthly production meetings, ensuring all members of the production team are aware of set targets.
• Liaise with members of the Senior Management team with regards to performance.
• Ensure adherence to statutory quality regulations and legislation.
• Be part of the company’s HACCP team
• Abide by the companies’ policies and procedures maintaining conformance.
• Ensure the compliance to all company health and safety procedures and requirements.

The Candidate
• Previous production management experience
• Experience within a food manufacturing environment
• HACCP experience desirable
• Possess the ability to motivate your team
